Independent film can promote world understanding and contribute to social change for justice, rights and the environment. However, we need your support to get these crucial messages out to the world audience. While filmmaking tools are more and more accessible with technology, making a film like Weaving Wisdom remains a costly endeavor. Women Make Movies, a non-profit media arts organization that supports independent films by and about women, has agreed to serve as the project's fiscal sponsor. We are extremely grateful to the numerous people who have supported the film's process and helped We Women Warriors reach this point of near completion!

However, more than $100,000 is still needed to complete the film. Also, the community engagement outreach plan needs support. Detailed budgets are available upon request.

Donations of $1,000 or more will be recognized in the film's credits. We know that many people are facing economic hardship and no donation is too small. Even donations of $20 would be helpful.

Twenty percent of each donation goes to support native women’s groups and their micro-businesses in Colombia!

The Todos Los Pueblos Revolving Loan Fund is being created as we fundraise to complete the documentary film We Women Warriors. Our intention is to support and help empower organized groups of native women in Colombia. The loans will first be given to the groups of Nasa, Awa and Kankuamo women, those communities seen in the film Weaving Wisdom. For example, the Kankuamo women plan on opening a collective store, while the Nasa women want to strengthen their artisan work. These loans of $500--$1000 will give them the opportunity to realize these dreams. As the revolving loan fund grows, it will be made available to other groups of indigenous women in Colombia.
